Domestic Violence Services
Volunteers are needed in the following capacities:
- Individual advocacy & education
- Answer the 24-hour Hotline
- Front desk coverage
- Public education and speaking engagements
- Group facilitation
- Fundraising volunteers to support annual gala and others
- Protection From Abuse court accompaniment
- Plan and implement educational and recreational activities for children staying at shelter

Head Start
Individuals are welcome to support the program in the following volunteer capacities:
- Bus monitor
- Classroom help such as reading, playing games, having conversation during play helping with meals
- Handy person - someone to perform small repairs and improvement projects

CONTACT Lancaster Helpline
Volunteers are needed to answer the calls coming into the CONTACT helpline. Potential volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, emotionally mature and be able to provide suitable references. The 50-hour training includes lectures, large and small group discussions, role playing, evaluations and "hands-on" apprenticeship sessions in the Telephone Help Center.
Fundraising Volunteers - Throughout the year, CONTACT holds fundraisers to pay for operational expenses. Volunteers are needed to solicit the public, businesses, foundations and agencies for funding and in-kind donations.
