To find out how you can help CAP and other non-profit agencies in the US, click on helping.org for a national data base on volunteering and contributing to worthy non profit agencies.  This site is funded by the AOL Foundation.
 
For an excellent source of information on the regulatory scene in Washington, check out OMB Watch.  It provides the latest information in government regulatory efforts, including those involving advocacy and non profit organizations.
 
For an up to date directory of services to persons residing in Lancaster City and County, check out this site operated by the County of Lancaster and the United Way's Lancaster Information Center (LINC).
    The Community Action Association of Pennsylvania represents the Community Action movement in the Commonwealth.  Although very new, it  will eventually serve as a communication and information link among the state's  Community Action Agencies.
 
For information about the progress on welfare reform and the upcoming debates about the program's reauthorization, click on to the Brookings Institution web site.  You can also download a pdf file which outlines the major issues affecting the welfare reform debate.
For information regarding measuring outcomes of social and human services agencies, check out the ROMA (Results Oriented Management Accountability) Web Site 
The Community Action Partnership web site provides extensive program and public policy information affecting Community Action Agencies throughout the USA.  This web site also provides excellent links to various federal agency web sites as well as information on federal funding options.

 

  The National Community Action Foundation  website provides up to date legislative information on congressional action regarding Community Action and its related programs, including the Community Services Block Grant, weatherization and the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
Center on Budget and Policy Priorities is a nonpartisan research organization and policy institute that focuses on government policies and programs that primarily affect low and moderate income people.
 
The Penn State Data Center provides excellent demographic information on Pennsylvania, its counties and municipalities.
The County of Lancaster Pennsylvania's website provides an excellent over view of the services provided to residents of the County and how to access them.
The Pennsylvania website is among the best of all state government website and provides an excellent source of information about state government initiatives and services.

    The United Way of Lancaster County website has an excellent overview of its functions as well as its member agencies. It also tells you how you can help by contributing to the United Way.

The National Welfare Monitoring and Advocacy Partnership provides excellent data on the impact of federal and state welfare reform efforts.
